Then, you corrected your homework about linguistic devices.

To finish, you first listed the various origins and consequences of stereotypes. Then, you completed your grid thanks to your text:

  • Hey!

Today, you studied a text about spare-part babies.

Here is what you said about it:

Jamie and Anna are spare-part babies. They were born thanks to In-Vitro Fertalisation (IVF) to save their siblings, giving them organs they don't need like a kidney.
Designer infants are a kind of medication and must have the same genetics as their brothers and sisters.
Jamie was to young to decide whereas Anna doesn't want to give her kidney because she wants to make her own choices and decisions / she doesn't want grown-ups to decide for her.
    Moreover, it never stops.

  • Hey!

Today, you studied a text about spare-part babies.

Here is what you said about it:

    Spare part baby : Definition

Both Anna and Jamie were created thanks to IVF to save their sick siblings :

They are spare-parts babies /saviour siblings / harvest babies.

To save their brothen and sister, they donate an organ they don’t need. However, to be sucessful, they must have the perfect genetic match. Jamie was too young to make his own choices whereas / while Anna didn’t want to donate her kidney because she doesn’t want grown-ups to decide for her. In addition, everytime her sister will be sick, she will have to give another organ.
